Mary K From LA has got TWO great gives that are making me drool. Hard.
She's got UNABRIDGED AUDIO books (three copies of each) to share. And they are doozies.

If you're not a big romance fan, you may not know how deeply Ms. Heyer's works have influenced thousands of romance writers (the published and the not-published, I'm sure).
The savvy folk at Sourcebooks understand the sort of power Ms. Heyer had. They are reprinting many of her books -- how many, I don't know and I'd dig it up but I'd really like to work on my own books today, so if you know, leave it in the comments and I'll edit this post.

Okay, now, when I saw this book title (Mating Rituals of the North American Wasp), my tired brain decided it was a boring book of nonfiction. Then I thought of this book called The Wasp Factory, which I was supposed to be on a book ring for, but I guess the book got lost 'cause it never got here.
I did NOT expect the clever title, or the uproarious plot concept.

First, Bridget and I would like to wish you guys a very happy Memorial Day. Take a second and think about the meaning of the day. The people we're honoring have more guts than Trevor does. (You might want to scurry over to The Meet and Greet and see what I'm talking about.)
Also, we'll be moving Win a Book over to my West of Mars platform starting on June 1. You can make that easier on yourself by going over there NOW and picking up the feed. Check out the place. Let me know what you think.

Nutrition's an important thing. And now famed Dr. Sears has something to say about it in his book, The NDD Book: How Nutrition Deficit Disorder Affects Your Child's Learning, Behavior, and Health, and What You Can Do About It - Without Drugs.
(Holy smoke. If you're trying to read that book title, I hope YOU don't have ADD. Of course, with a title THAT long, you just might by the time you're done slogging through there!)
It's an interesting concept, isn't it? Studies have shown that being out in nature help relieve some symptoms of ADD. And now to feed our bodies properly... yeah. It makes sense to me.
But what do I know? I'm just some hack writer.
(Apologies to anyone who just made beverages come out their noses.)

Made in the USA
It's the weekend. Clearly, it's a weekend with a Torment Susan theme, as I've been posting books I'm lusting after.
This time, it's Billie Letts' Made in the USA, offered to you by April at Cafe of Dreams.
It's for friends in the US and Canada, but books can't be mailed to PO Boxes. I swear, that rule alone has kept my office floor from caving into the basement, sending books flying in a shower of pages and colorful covers...

Somehow, our friend Sheri at A Novel Menagerie wound up with two copies of Mrs. Meyer's Clean Home. So she read one copy and reviewed it. And with the other?

It'll have to stay within the US or Canada unless you can help with the excess mailing costs, which isn't a bad idea, given that I've paid more in postage at times than a book's been worth. (I've also done the, "Hey, since you're going to this country, would you drop this book in the mail for me" technique. That's always fun.)
