Santa Olivia
Amy at chic Book Reviews is absolutely raving about the latest Jacqueline Carey novel, Santa Olivia. RAVING, I tell you.
Check it out for yourself.
And when you're done reading Amy's review, if you're in the US or Canada but don't have a PO Box (or are willing to forego it), you can enter to win one lone copy. (I'm so used to writing five! But yes, only one.)
You have until June 3. Use this link.

Mating Rituals of the North American Wasp
Okay, now, when I saw this book title (Mating Rituals of the North American Wasp), my tired brain decided it was a boring book of nonfiction. Then I thought of this book called The Wasp Factory, which I was supposed to be on a book ring for, but I guess the book got lost 'cause it never got here.
I did NOT expect the clever title, or the uproarious plot concept.
Check it out at chic Book Reviews. Amy does author Lauren Lipton proud with her post. I don't know about you, but now I've GOT to read this.
You can win it... if you're a member of Amy's Goodreads group. We don't usually post gives that have these sorts of strings attached, but Amy's a good friend and if you're too lazy to join the group, that simply ups MY chances at this book!

Outcast
I love Amy over at chic Book Reviews (and not just because she's giving away a copy of my book, either!). She's SO full of energy and good vibes, I can't help but smile whenever I go to her blog -- or get an e-mail from her, as I did just now.
She's got a review of Cheryl Brooks' Outcast up on her front page, and with it, a cool review with Ms. Brooks.
AND, at the very end of this goodness (the start of the post, with the book covers, had me howling hard enough to scare the cats!), is one copy of Outcast, for US and Canada friends, but no PO Box addresses. *sigh*
Check it ALL out via this link. You won't be disappointed.

The Demo Tapes: Year 1
Yeah, yeah. I know what you're thinking: Susan really only runs Win a Book to promote herself, and here's more proof of that. Yawn.
After a day like yesterday, when Win a Book was ALL I did, I hope you really don't think that way!
If you're wondering what's so great about me and my fictional world, head on over to chic Book Reviews, where Amy has gone from being confused about Trevor to joining the Trevolution whole-heartedly.
And she's giving you the chance to do so, too.
Yep, she's giving away her copy of ShapeShifter: The Demo Tapes -- Year 1. It's a thin book and she doesn't say, so ... ask if you're an international friend.
Go follow the rules, which include coming to visit me at the Meet and Greet at West of Mars. If you haven't been by, why not??? I thought you loved me!
Okay. Blatant self-promotion over for the moment. Back to our regular stuff in a few.

The Girl Who Stopped Swimming
With the hoopla and number of us who loved Joshilyn Jackson's debut, gods in Alabama, I'm surprised more people haven't read The Girl Who Stopped Swimming.
Well, chic book chick Amy's got your chance. Five copies, in fact, for five friends in the US and Canada who are smart enough to get around that pesky PO Box rule. (Really, I don't get it. When UPS delivers to MY PO Box, they call me and ask where the house is, and then they come on over. Maybe UPS likes the sender better? But what's not to love about a publisher?)
Anyway, this is a quickie contest, over in a week. Get thee over to the Chic Book Reviews!

100 followers celebration!
Amy at Chic Book Reviews has decided to party now that she's got 100 followers. Can't really blame the girl; Susan's author blog sure isn't that loved!
You can win four chick books, all lightly read, and a bunch of handmade (by Amy!) stuff: a bookmark, a journal, and some note cards.
Gotta love Amy, our chic book chick.
Use this link before April 30.
** savvy readers will note that Amy's not telling us what those books are. Put your Inquiring minds away!

City of Thieves
Proving that even someone as cool as the Chic Book Chick has to deviate from the norm from time to time, Amy has let her son review a book. And now that he has, she's giving this gently-read copy away. The book is City of Thieves and it was written by David Benioff.
Stop by, give Britain a grade, and check out an exclusive offer for Chic Book Review readers. For those of you keeping score at home, the exclusive offer has NOTHING to do with the give.
You have until April 27 for the contest. Go for it.

Friday Threesome
My friend Amy at Chic Book Reviews is giving away three books in honor of us making it to yet another Friday.
The books are:
All of Me by Lori Wilde
Passion Unleashed by Larissa Ione
Stakes and Stilettos by Michele Rowen
All have been gently read by Amy herself. And No, you can't win all three. Only one -- so there will be three winners this week. We deserve it, gang! We survived another tax season!
You have until next Friday, the 24th of April, to enter. Leave a comment with your e-mail address on Amy's post. That's it!

I'd Tell you the Title, but then I'd Have to Kill You
Nope, that's not the name of a book (for you who read headlines), although it would make a good Middle Grade or YA title, wouldn't it?
I got an e-mail from Amy at chic Book Reviews, asking if I'd mention some goodness she's got going on. You see, she's launching this new review site and has a secret book she's going to give away on April 1, when the site launches.
I really doubt this is an April Fool's joke. Check it out for yourself.
