Penguin Fantasy Prize Pack
Penguin Fantasy Prize Pack? Does it come with Sidney Crosby and Jordan Staal in their skivvies and the Stanley Cup?
Trust me. THAT is a Penguins Fantasy Prize Pack.
However, Penguin Books doesn't agree. They seem to think that nine books make up a nice prize pack. They're probably right, especially once you see the list of books. But c'mon. My vision is MUCH better.

The Read Carpet Podcast
From Presenting Lenore: The Read Carpet is a podcast made by an assortment of bloggers to talk about their favorite subject - YA literature. It was put together by Adele and has a rotating roster of contributers including Lenore and some of the most awesome bloggers around. They are planning to have two episodes a month and you'll hear from Lenore every other episode if all goes well. This time, she will discuss dystopian fiction.

The Reincarnationist
Lenore, of Presenting Lenore fame, was kind enough to drop us an e-mail on Saturday (when we were busy recovering from illnesses and nights out, among other things). It seems she's got quite the doozy of a pre-Christmas contest going on.
MJ Rose is visiting, and we all know MJ Rose doesn't do things small. That's part of her amazing success. Thus, Lenore says (in her own words):

Far World: Water Keep
Lenore, over at Presenting Lenore, has a cool giveaway happening. She's got a signed copy to share with the most impassioned plea to read this book.

Btw, this is the first in a series. It's always best to get in on the ground floor of a new series, for a bunch of reasons. The biggest of those reasons is that when you get to book 2 or even 3, you'll know what's going on.

Jack Ferraiolo has donated 3 signed hardcover copies of his debut novel "The Big Splash" for a contest over at my blog. The pitch is "hardboiled detective novel meets Goodfellas set in a middle school" and it is awesome, and not just for middle schoolers. There's so much for adults too. It comes out today!!
