The Convenient Marriage
Today's book is The Convenient Marriage. Isn't that a familiar theme in romance novels? Well, check out how Ms. Heyer handles it. You'll be impressed. And yes, I CAN say this without having read the novel! (Who else can make horrid eyebrows a valid reason for not being a catch?)
You've got to move fast, as Shawn will be drawing for the winners of ALL the books tomorrow. Saturday.

The Scarecrow (and) Cemetery Dance (audios)
She's got UNABRIDGED AUDIO books (three copies of each) to share. And they are doozies.
The first is Michael Connelly's The Scarecrow. I'm still bummed I can't go see him when he's in town this weekend. Kids. Family. You know how it is; no wonder we need to escape into a good book on a regular basis!
The other audio book is ... well, it's from more authors whose most recent appearance I had to miss ('cause I didn't know about it!). It's Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston. Or Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. You pick. The book is Cemetery Dance. You KNOW you want to listen to this one with the lights up!
Your hostess (or, where Mary K From LA blogs) is Just One More Page... or Two. This is a US/Canada/street address only contest. And you have to mention which book you want. I don't think you can win both, unless you get really lucky.
Good luck choosing. I sure can't.
You have until June 21 to enter. Use this link.

Georgette Heyer Week
If you're not a big romance fan, you may not know how deeply Ms. Heyer's works have influenced thousands of romance writers (the published and the not-published, I'm sure).
The savvy folk at Sourcebooks understand the sort of power Ms. Heyer had. They are reprinting many of her books -- how many, I don't know and I'd dig it up but I'd really like to work on my own books today, so if you know, leave it in the comments and I'll edit this post.
Maymay's going to give four of Ms. Heyer's books away at the end of the week.
Start here, at this post. You'll have to remember to go back and check out the rest of the week's offerings, but I promise, this is one bookmark you'll be glad you make!

Mating Rituals of the North American Wasp
I did NOT expect the clever title, or the uproarious plot concept.
Check it out at chic Book Reviews. Amy does author Lauren Lipton proud with her post. I don't know about you, but now I've GOT to read this.
You can win it... if you're a member of Amy's Goodreads group. We don't usually post gives that have these sorts of strings attached, but Amy's a good friend and if you're too lazy to join the group, that simply ups MY chances at this book!
